With temperatures expected to drop below freezing this weekend, ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä’s overnight warming shelter could open for the first time this season.

The shelter will operate the same as last year, said Traci Strickland, executive director of the Kanawha Valley Collective. The city has again budgeted $100,000 for the program, which includes cooling stations in the summer.
