‘Turtle’ Ols was ‘great guy to work around’
Ols worked with Francisco at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #33 in ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä.
“[He] was a great guy to work around, and would give you the shirt off his back,†Francisco said in a Facebook message. “He made going to work and being productive fun.â€
Francisco said Ols helped him learn about the trade.
Cadle was taken into custody Saturday. According to a news release from the West Virginia State Police, Trooper T.A. Fisher responded to a burglary call on Poca River Road, in Poca. A Putnam County 911 dispatcher said a male subject had forcibly entered the home and killed two cats.
Cadle was detained on Big Tyler Road, where Fisher reportedly found a truck registered to Ols.
On the same day, someone called Metro 911 and reported that two dogs were shot on Walnut Valley Drive, in Cross Lanes.
Fisher and another trooper reportedly arrived and found the dogs and Ols, all deceased.
Cadle will have a preliminary hearing in Kanawha County on March 18. A date for the Putnam County hearing has not been set. He is being held in the South Central Regional Jail with no bail.
, Cadle pleaded no contest in June to one charge of unlawful taking of a vehicle.
The Putnam and Kanawha county sheriff’s offices and the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Police assisted in the investigation, according to the Saturday news release.
