The St. Albans Branch Library Advisory Board has announced that author Tom Moore will be the May guest for its “St. Albans Writes†monthly speaker series that features area writers discussing their literary works.
Moore, who writes under the pen name Ryan Baxter, will speak at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the library, 602 Fourth St. in St. Albans.
Although Moore is not a regional author and his works do not reflect Appalachia in general or West Virginia specifically, his Virginia/West Virginia roots run deep, according to a release from the Advisory Board.
Moore has published three books, two fiction and one non-fiction. The fiction books include “The Secret Valley: A Tale of Ancient Nepal, Tibet, India and China†and a science-fiction novel “Terra 12: Paradise Found.†His non-fiction work relays the spiritual journey of a great soul entitled “Mother Stella: Her Song of Love.â€
Part of Moore’s presentation will focus on the secret of creativity as well as considering what road does humanity wish to travel going forward to the future. These are themes that run through the body of his work. This will be an interactive session where attendees are welcome to participate and provide their perspective to the discussion.
