Big rivalries with a side order of the potential for history dot tonight’s high school football schedule in the Mountain State.
Welcome back to “At the Game,†a new feature we're producing on game nights this season to keep readers in the loop of what's going on across the area, in as close to real time as we can manage.
Cabell Midland hosts Spring Valley in one of the Tri-State's top rivalries, with both teams needing a win to get headed in the right direction in Mountain State Athletic Conference play. Winfield travels to Wayne in a game that could play a big part in the Cardinal Conference race.
George Washington travels to South ÂÒÂ×ÄÚÉä in a game that figures to be historic for one reason or another. Either the Patriots will hand coach Steve Edwards Jr. the 200th win of his career, or the Black Eagles will give Dustin Resler his first.
